Aava for Children is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in Washington State. Ava for Children exists to make a difference in children's lives and is dedicated to helping specifically oppressed children in Washington and across the world live a better quality of life.
Ava For Children was formed in 2004 by Dr. Abraham Ghorbanian of Aava Dental. Abrahamís father was a child slave for several years. The images of children in slavery have always weighed heavy on his mind. Through his hard work, he was able to gain the support and resources to channel his passion in abolishing slavery and trafficking by founding Aava For Children.
One may find it surprising that Seattle is one of the major ports for human trafficking in the world, with absolutely no facility to shelter the rescued individuals. Our immediate goal is to create and help manage a shelter for our rescued brothers and sisters. Letís unite together in eradicating slavery.
The U.S. ended slavery once and we can do it again. Help us end slavery once and for all. Give support for a slave-free Seattle. We can take it one city at a time by focusing our efforts on victim rescue, perpetrator accountability, rehabilitation centers, structural prevention and cultural transformation.
